Turkish monuments and dishes?

Are there any real turkish monuments besides mosques to visit ? Because everything worth seeing I have found in all tourist guides and sites are Greek. Is baklava a traditional turkish desert ? If so why its name reminds of the ancient greek word plakoundas which means pastry with honey and nuts? Some dishes of Diyarbekir cusine?
