Motorcycle accident????????????

My Husband had an accident on his motorcycle a motorist pulled out without indicating and knocked him off his motorcycle, which left him needing 13 stitches to his face, since the accident the 3rd party insurer have claimed liability for the damage to the bike and have sent a cheque out to pay for the bike, my husband is also suing for his injuries, would the fact that the 3rd party insurers have claimed liability for the damage also mean that they will also have to claim liability for his injuries too and if so how much would my husband be entitled to in compensation?
